The fans have already done their part and just a few days before the Foietes and El Moralet parks fill up to see one of the best shows on the planet, the biggest stars in cycling have also confirmed that they will be in the well-known Spanish tourist destination… although they will not be able to enjoy its beaches and its charm.

In the Men Elite race, the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup – Benidorm Costa Blanca 2023 will have its own ‘big three’ battle. Wout van Aert, Mathieu van der Poel and Tom Pidcock will be the main attraction of an Elite category in which the general classification of the World Cup could be decided since the two riders with options to win it, Laurens Sweeck and Michael Vanthourenhout, have also confirmed that they will be traveling to the Costa Blanca.

This will be the last race of the season for the current world champion, Tom Pidcock, who will return to focus with his Ineos-Grenadiers teammates after the race in Benidorm to prepare the imminent start of the road season.

Along with him, there will also be Wout van Aert, showing great form throughout the season, who will be the protagonist of one of the most anticipated and desired duels by fans: the one he always stars with his great archrival, Mathieu van der Poel.

Another big star who will not miss the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup – Benidorm Costa Blanca 2023 is Marianne Vos, the queen of women’s cycling.

Very few examples can be found not only in cycling, but in sport’s history, that can match the greatness of the Dutch cyclist, who has been the absolute benchmark for women’s cycling during this century, with a record of 248 victories on the road and 107 in the muddy circuits. She has also been world champion an astonishing eight times: last of them, in 2022 in Fayetteville (USA).

Alongside Vos and current Italian champion Silvia Persico, we will see the two best CX specialists of this season lining up. Fem van Empel and Puck Pieterse will also be at the start line of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup – Benidorm Costa Blanca. The two will be duelling for the overall win of the UCI CX World Cup.
